CONSTITUENCIES

Hardap is one of the fourteen (14)  regions of Namibia, its capital is Mariental,  Hardap contains the municipality of Mariental, the towns Rehoboth and Aranos, and the self-governed villages Gibeon, Gochas, Kalkrand, Stampriet, and Maltahohe. It is home to the Hardap Dam.

Hardap stretches the entire width of Namibia, from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to Namibia's eastern national border. In the northeast, it borders the Kgalagadi District of Botswana, and in the southeast, it borders the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. Domestically, it borders the following regions:

• Khomas - north central
• Omaheke - northeast
• //Karas - south

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE CONSTITUENCIES

Gibeon Constituency (Nama: Khaxa-tsus) is a electoral Constituency in the Hardap Region of Namibia. The administrative centre of the constituency is the village of Gibeon and the Gibeon Constituency Office is headed by the newly elected Regional Councillor Hon. Paul Isaak and member of the National Council (MP).

Mariental Rural Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia. Its Constituency office is based in Stampriet and politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Deensia Swartbooi and an Ordinary Member of the Regional Council.
 

Mariental Urban Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia. Its Constituency office is based in Mariental and politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Petrus Johannes Esterhuizen and member of Management Committee.
 

Rehoboth  Urban East Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia.  Its Constituency office is based in Rehoboth Urban West and politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Edward Alfred Wambo and an Ordinary member of the Regional Council.

 

Rehoboth Rural Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia. Its Constituency office is based in Schilp and politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Gershon Daniel Francior Dausab and the Chairperson of the Regional Council.

 

Rehoboth Urban West Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia.  Its Constituency office is based in Rehoboth Urban West and politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Harald James Kambrude and a member of the National Council. (MP)

Aranos Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia.  It was created in August 2013, following a recommendation of the Fourth Delimitation Commission of Namibia, and in preparation of the 2014 general election. The administrative centre of Aranos Constituency is the town of Aranos and the Constituency is politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Salomon Boois and a member of the Management Committee.
 

Daweb Constituency is an electoral Constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia It was created in August 2013, following a recommendation of the Fourth Delimitation Commission of Namibia, and in preparation of the 2014 general election. The administrative centre of Daweb Constituency is the town of Daweb and the Constituency is politically headed by the Constituency Councillor Hon. Nicodemus Jesaja Motinga and a member of the National Council (MP).
